The S/V Rembrandt van Rijn is a three-masted passenger sailing schooner that was originally built as a herring lugger. It was rebuilt in 1994 and has since sailed in Spitsbergen and the Galápagos Islands. The ship underwent a complete rebuilding and refurbishment program in 2011 and has a capacity of 33 passengers.
The Rembrandt van Rijn is well-suited for expedition cruising among small islands and offers excellent open deck viewing areas, even when under sail. The two inflatable rubber crafts (zodiacs) enable landing and wildlife viewing opportunities in otherwise inaccessible areas.
The Rembrandt van Rijn is a great option for passengers who are looking for an intimate and adventurous expedition cruise experience. The ship's small size and shallow draft allow it to access remote areas that larger ships cannot reach. The two zodiacs provide passengers with the opportunity to get up close and personal with the wildlife.
