15 Day Antarctica Itinerary

Day 1: Santiago de Chile

Our tourists are advised to arrive in Santiago de Chile one day early so that they can rest well after their long flights before the Subantarctic adventure begins. The price does not include a pre-cruise stay, but the Holiday Inn Hotel is highly recommended due to its excellent location in the terminal of the airport.

Day 2: Falkland Islands

The expedition begins in the morning at the Santiago de Chile airport, where we take the transfer flight over to the Falkland islands. Stanley is the capital and starting point for our voyage. We can reduce our time at sea by embarking in Falkland Islands, allowing us more time to land and take photos. Afternoon: You will be transported to the pier, where you will receive a warm welcome aboard the expedition ship. Make yourself at home in preparation for your extraordinary journey.

Day 3 & 4: South Georgia

We will see incredible wildlife as we head east to South Georgia. The Antarctic Convergence is the boundary between the Southern Ocean and Antarctica.

Don't lose your time aboard! Prepare yourself before your arrival at South Georgia by attending our informative briefings, lectures and seminars.

Use this opportunity to meet new people, share your photography experience, and take part in our master classes. It's always more comfortable to discuss ISO and exposure in a cozy lounge, bar or restaurant.

Day 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 & 13: South Georgia

South Georgia has the most beautiful wildlife and scenery on Earth. You will be taken to the most beautiful locations with great light. South Georgia is home to thousands of kings penguins. This makes it the perfect place to take pictures of these amazing creatures. We plan to see the most beautiful sights, such as Gold Harbour Cooper Bay Drygalski Fjord, and others. You can visit beaches like those in St. Andrews Bay and Salisbury Plain, which are home to over 100,000 elephant and fur seals, and 3 million fur seals.

Whales are increasingly common in the abundant waters around South Georgia. Grytviken, the historic whaling base of South Georgia is home to an excellent South Georgia Museum run by the South Georgia Heritage Trust. The legendary polar adventurer Ernest Shackleton is buried here.

Our route in South Georgia and our exploration options are highly dependent on weather conditions. The itinerary is determined by our experienced expedition leader and captain, who constantly adjusts plans to suit the conditions. In this remote and wild corner of the globe, you can rest assured that we will take full advantage of all the opportunities presented by Nature. Every chance we get, we go to this incredible place and capture the most amazing wildlife pictures.

Day 14 & 15: Falkland Islands

Now it's time to return back towards the Falkland Island. Our adventures aren't over. On the way, we will see the seabird covered pinnacles called Shag Rocks (so get your camera ready!). The Captain's Farewell Cocktail, and the End-of-Visit Slide Show are also included in the festivities. The group will discuss our experiences, look back at all of the wonderful photos taken on board and have a good time with other travellers.

Day 16: Port Stanley

Port Stanley is the final destination of our adventure. After breakfast, we disembark and transfer you to the airport. Safe flight to Santiago. Spend more time in the capital city of Chile. After the initial emotions subside, you can now reflect on your Subantarctic adventure and perhaps plan your next polar expedition?
