10 Day Antarctica Itinerary

Day 1: Jamestown, Longwood House & Jacob's Ladder

Jamestown is the starting point of our journey. This city offers a unique location and a variety of attractions. There is much to do before you set sail. Tropical British culture is a great way to experience the local British culture. This remote volcanic island has a unique climate and bird species. Visit Longwood House is where Napoleon was killed in 1821. You can even take a walk along the 699-metre path. If you are feeling ambitious, climb Jacob's Ladder. You can also take more time if you want to. You can go snorkeling or on short hikes in shallow water. There are many tropical and subtropical species of fish.

Day 2 & 3: Sailing the Mid-Atlantic Ridge

We will sail today along the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. Submarine mountain range of about 16 km (10 miles). From the Arctic Ocean to the Southern tip of Africa

Day 4 & 5: Onward to Ascension Island

The sooty-tern (also called wideawakes) colony can sometimes reach over one million nesting birds on this dry volcanic island. pairs. We may also go to the beach and watch turtles lay eggs. eggs.

Day 6, 7, 8 & 9: Crossing the equator

Arctic terns, long-tailed Skuas and other birds are also on their spring northward migration.

Day 10: The pleasures of Praia

Arriving in Praia, we disembark at 18:30 hours. You are still allowed to have lunch, even though it will not be provided. You can store your luggage onboard or until you disembark. We offer an optional tour around Praia if you are able to spare the time. You can also visit the Cidade Velha, a massive fortification built on a hillside to protect against English raids. 10 Day Antarctica cruise activities

Learn to capture wildlife and landscape shots in a small group photography program, including critiquing sessions and editing classes. Plus, Explorer Boat excursions with a dedicated photography expert on landings.

Achieve the best views and photographs from a forward facing Explorer Boats. They allow you to sit comfortably and securely while crackling through the ice-strewn waters. Look out for wildlife such as penguins, seals and whales as you cruise.

It doesn’t get more serene than complimentary yoga classes to the tune of glacial scenery. Join the most unique exercise setting in the world after a day of exploration. Classes are regular but are dependent on weather conditions and swell.
