After the tour, you will be taken directly to the pier for embarkation in the late afternoon. Settle into your cabin before an important safety briefing and enjoy the thrill of departure as we 'throw the lines' and set sail.

This evening, meet your fellow expedition members and our friendly expedition team and crew at the Welcome Dinner to celebrate the start of an exciting adventure.

Note: Sometimes our ship is unable to dock in Longyearbyen due to space and capacity constraints. In these cases we will reach the ship by Zodiac. Please ensure that you keep your wet weather gear in your hand luggage for use in the Zodiacs if this is the case. Please ensure that your cabin luggage tag.

Day 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 & 11: Svalbard

Svalbard is the best place to experience the Arctic wilderness. Our experienced expedition team will tailor the daily itinerary according to weather conditions, sea ice and wildlife encounters.

The polar desert, with its fossil-rich fjords and mountains, is the setting for early stories of exploration. See walruses being dragged out on the sea ice or on the beaches. Walk across tundra carpeted with colourful wildflowers. Visit cliffs where puffins and guillemots nest, and scree slopes where Svalbard's largest colony of little auk lives. Encounters with majestic polar bears on the pack ice will be unforgettable. The expedition team will be constantly on the lookout for these amazing creatures.

You can enjoy an optional activity such as kayaking if conditions are right. If you'd like to take part in the polar plunge, you'll hear an announcement as soon as it's safe.

Day 12: Longyearbyen

In the early morning, we sail back to Longyearbyen. Bid farewell to the Expedition Team upon disembarkation and have some leisure time before heading to the airport for your onward journey.

Note: It's advised not to book flights departing before 12:00 pm on the disembarkation day, considering potential delays at the voyage's conclusion.
