Your journey begins in Quito with a flight to the Amazon City of Coca, our tour will take you to the tropical rainforest of the lower Napo River, a major tributary to the mighty Amazon River.

From there you’ll be whisked along the river, past the magnificent trees and vistas that make up this part of the Amazon Jungle, to your lodge accommodation.

Using the lodge as your base you can explore the surrounding forest with daily tours led by expert bilingual guides. The tours are available in varying levels of difficulty, so everyone will have a chance to get out and experience the stunning flora and fauna.

Enjoy activities like kayaking and swimming in tropical lagoons that form the watery network which eventually leads to the Amazon River and daily/nightly tours through the jungle to spot monkeys, caimans, snakes, insects, spiders, birds and visit to ancestral Indigenous communities.

5 Day Ecuador Itinerary

Day 1: Quito-El Coca

Transfer from your hotel to Quito airport to board your flight to El Coca. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by the Lodge staff that will accompany you along the canoe ride (1-2 hours) until you reach your eco-friendly Lodge. Enjoy the afternoon activities.

Meals Included: Box Lunch / Lunch / Dinner

Day 2: Birdwatching and Jungle trek

You can wake up very early to do some birdwatching with your expert guide. Discover the primary forest of the Rainforest with fantastic deep-jungle hiking learning about plants, animals and history. Lunch will be served at the Lodge. Afternoon more activities or jungle hikes. Overnight.

Day 3: Amazon Expedition: piranha fishing, canoeing, swimming, or wildlife spotting

Your guide will brief on today’s possible activities in the Lodge or in the Jungle: piranha fishing, canoeing, swimming, wildlife spotting, bird-watching and much more. A complete day to fully enjoy. An evening excursion around the Lodge spotting insects, spiders and more is a great idea to finish the day.

Day 4: Visit to the indigenous Community

Today you will have a wonderful tour by visiting a local Indigenous Community to learn their ways of life in the Jungle’s hostile environment and you will be lucky enough to be welcomed by a local family into their house and share the table with a delicious meal with fresh fish and vegetables simmered over low fire and with local spices. Afterwards you may have a short trek around the Community seeing their crops, learning how they use the natural resources in a sustainable manner to their advantage, see monkeys, birds and even snakes. Return to the Lodge by midafternoon.

Day 5: Lodge-Departure

After having enjoyed an adventurous trip in the mysterious Jungle and the comfort of your Lodge, you will be transferred by motor-canoe for approximately 2 hours to El Coca just in time to take your flight back to the Capital of Ecuador, Quito. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your Hotel for a well-deserved resting time. End of our services.
