Samba Sailboat | Sail Boat

Samba Sailboat

Overview

Back in 1966 the M/Y Samba, a luxury yacht was built by the Dutch for their private voyages; and now after four decades, the same sailboat has been revamped, reflecting a modern outlook, to serve as one of the tour yachts that will allow you to cruise Galapagos in Island flare. The yacht whirls against the serene Pacific waters, circumnavigating most of the Galapagos archipel, following one of the itineraries tailored according to the Park Authority voyage requirements. With lavishly decorated interiors, a spacious sundeck, and choicest cruising routes, the M/Y Samba promises a mystique voyage around the archipelago.

The yacht / sailboat is 78 feet long, and its beam measures 18 feet. Its average speed is about 8.5 knots. The crew includes 5+ members along with a guide. This Galapagos sailboat can accommodate no more than 13 passengers and hence is ideal for a small group. The value oriented pricing makes the Samba a good choise for private charters.

@Arnold Barnes
I fell in love with this boat the moment I laid my eyes on it. It’s a very beautiful yacht and I just couldn’t stop taking pictures. Lol.
@Janet
The sails on this yacht made me.feel like we were on set for a “pirates of the Caribbean” movie set. It felt amazing. It was fun all the way.
@Daniela Pistilli
Everything went smoothly onboard the retro ship. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable. We had a chance to see unique turtles and Sea Lions even though time was not enough for us to observe all the fascinating interactions between sea and land animals.
@Melandi Pretorius
It’s not every day that you get a chance to explore the Galapagos Islands onboard a decades-old luxury yacht. Thank you Samba Cruise for making that possible. Even though the ship was built in 1966, the interiors have been redecorated and will leave awe on your face.
