Peru Biking Tour

There is a community in Peru of bikers that specializes in the organization of biking tours along the whole Peruvian territory. The trips can last a few hours to days, weeks, and even months. The levels of expertise can range from beginners to people with an advance level that are willing to explore the coast, the Andes, and the jungle with the challenges that each one of these regions apply. As a matter of fact, there are places in these tours where the distances can go up to 4000 meters above the sea level.

Among the beginners, the trips include the Lima City Bike tour that can last between 3 and 4 hours, as well as other trips like the Pachacamac, Paracas-Tambo Colorado, and the Cusco City Bike tour.

On the second level of trips or moderate degree of difficulty, there are tours like a full day in Caral, or 2 days- 1 night on this destination. In Cusco there is another tour with itineraries of 3, 4 and 5 days, which covers 75, 100, and 150 km respectively. The bikers who engage in this program, need to be in good shape, considering the different kind of elevations that are displayed on the path that range between 2800 to 4450 meters above the sea level.

There are 2 additional levels that related to exploration and discovery. They are designed for people who take the subject of cycling very professionally and manage certain skills, as well as require expressively a higher degree of difficulty. These trips are prepared in advance after having a conversation with the client, as well as, a previous assessment on the paths that the biker wants to cycling.
