A new retreat is opening in southern Peru: Tinajani, a secluded tented camp nestled within a 300-year-old canyon landscape. Located between Cusco, Lake Titicaca, and the Colca Valley, this intimate getaway spans 300 untouched acres and features six exclusive camps. Each camp includes two stylish tents—one for rest and another for lounging—plus a private deck with a hot tub, perfect for stargazing under the Andean sky.
This opening marks the latest addition to a collection of thoughtfully designed accommodations found in some of Peru’s most awe-inspiring and lesser-known regions. These properties blend heritage, comfort, and a deep connection to Andean culture, offering travelers immersive journeys rooted in local traditions.
While Tinajani is the most remote destination so far, other locations in the collection include a restored 16th-century monastery in Arequipa, a lakeside refuge at 4,000 meters on the edge of Lake Titicaca, and a tented lodge in the Colca Valley inspired by early 20th-century explorers.
From Lima to the highlands, each space honors regional identity through architecture, cuisine, and experience. Future plans include expanding into new areas of Peru by 2026, always with a focus on authenticity, cultural preservation, and community support.
