The 2026-27 Antarctica season has been announced, offering 27 voyages, including special edition expeditions designed for adventure seekers, photographers, science enthusiasts, and women travelers.
New itineraries include a 10-day “Taste of Antarctica” journey and specialized expeditions such as Women’s Only trips, Photography Expeditions, and New Scientist Discovery Tours.
Ranging from nine to 34 days, the expeditions visit destinations like the Antarctic Peninsula, East Antarctica, the Ross Sea, South Georgia, and the Falklands~Malvinas. Popular itineraries like “Spirit of Antarctica” and “South Georgia, Falklands, and Antarctic Odyssey” are also returning.
According to Michael Heath, chief executive officer, these expeditions aim to inspire and deepen connections with the unique landscapes of Antarctica. The new itineraries and themed voyages, including the Women’s Only trip and collaborations with New Scientist, offer diverse ways to explore the region’s beauty, science, and adventure.
Photography Expeditions, led by expert photographers, include Zodiac cruises, onshore excursions, and presentations to help participants enhance their skills with both professional cameras and smartphones. Highlights include:
The photography workshops include a 12-day journey led by Nigel Danson (February 2026) aboard the Greg Mortimer and another guided by Scott Portelli (January 2027) aboard the Sylvia Earle, both departing from Punta Arenas/Ushuaia.
