Finch Bay Galapagos Hotel is introducing six brand-new suites for travelers seeking a high-end retreat on Santa Cruz Island.

As one of the few overnight accommodations in the Galápagos Islands—a world-renowned archipelago off Ecuador’s mainland—Finch Bay stands out as the only beachfront hotel on Santa Cruz. This island, the second-largest in the region, is home to Puerto Ayora, the Galápagos’ largest town, and is well known for its giant tortoises.

Following recent renovations, the hotel is launching its new “Evolution Suites,” available for reservations starting next month. Nestled in the lush garden, these suites are just a short walk from the main building. The ground-floor suites provide views of the native greenery, while the first-floor options offer scenic ocean and beach vistas.

Designed with earthy tones, the suites range between 177 and 185 square feet, featuring teak accents, modern furnishings, and the choice of a king-size or two double beds. Each suite also includes a generous private outdoor space, with balconies spanning from 52 to 76 square feet. In alignment with the hotel’s commitment to sustainability, 40 percent of its energy is sourced from solar panels.

To develop the Evolution Suites, Finch Bay repurposed six existing rooms, maintaining its total of 33 accommodations in compliance with local regulations.

Ideal for a Galápagos getaway—whether as a standalone destination or an extension of an expedition cruise—the hotel offers a premier experience. Its signature restaurant incorporates 40 percent locally sourced ingredients, including produce grown on-site. Additionally, guests can unwind at the spa, which features massage rooms, hot tubs, a gym, and a yoga shala.

The hotel also assists guests in arranging tours, activities, and custom packages. Moreover, it boasts a private yacht that can host up to 20 guests, providing guided explorations of the Galápagos National Park with English-speaking experts.
